'rot drop' _ noun, def. - the collapsing of a structural timber due to its integrity becoming compromised from excessive moisture levels,
usually a load bearing board that is being compressed under the weight of the structure above it, [origin - HOME MECHANIX dubbed term meaning that describes what we have to repair on a regular basis due to unmanage groundwater intrusions, (we can fix that too!!)]
- a common problem for older structures w/ brick steps against the foundation.
- custom frame jack / brace was needed to support & lift the weight of the wall while the repair was being made.
